“Five Elements” is Drop Down Community’s latest project. The young artists are paying special atteniton to this problem and so the idea was born to invite the prominent young composer Ivo Paunov, with whom to create a cycle of five original plays “The Five Elements”: Air, Fire, Water, Earth and Plastic. The key in the compositional technique is the balance between the ensemble and the solo sound, as in the concept of the works it is set to treat each of the fifteen prominent instrumentalists as a soloist. The individual plays are a network of leitmotifs, which are united in the last, fifth part – Plastic, thus illustrating the penetration of this fifth element in all natural elements.
